Thanks to Tour of Homes supporters
The 25th anniversary edition of the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association’s Tour of Homes was held this past Sunday and I wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all who made this special day such a success.
THANK YOU to our five homeowners who allowed over 800 people to walk through and tour their lovely homes. Dan and Rose Kerr opened the Tour, followed by Paul and Linda Beery, Andy and Julie Alfred, Bruce Ames and ending with the home of Jack and Patty Husch.
THANK YOU to our four corporate sponsors, who’s generosity made possible the financial success of the tour: Joyce and Kyle Thorp, realtors with Re/Max Realty Centre; Compass Point & North Point Island; Buckeye Lake Region Chamber of Commerce and Coconis Furniture & Floor Covering.
THANK YOU to our Team Captains who took the responsibility for their respective areas and made my role so much easier. Barb & Lou Maresca, Bud Springer, Julie Clemons, Maria Spring, Jeanne Frear, Rick Rife and Dave Adams.
THANK YOU to Judy Cooperrider of the Jabber Shop who placed a beautiful flower arrangement in each of the homes and Eddie Fisher, who for the past several years has helped with the fuel costs of the boat captains. Tory Wolfe made the day special when she loaned her patriotic chairs to the event and Snug Harbor donated the use of their villa for a get-together after the Tour for the volunteers. Charlie Prince and the Beacon staff helped create and design the Beacon insert for the Tour. Catfish Charley’s provided meeting space for the seven months of planning.
THANK YOU to Ron and Trudy Craig, Ron for his leadership as the new president of BLACA and Trudy for assisting me every step of the way.
A special THANK YOU to the residents of our community. You made our guests feel welcome and jumped in and lent a hand when necessary to make the Tour run absolutely perfectly.
Finally, THANK YOU to the 180 volunteers who dutifully put on their florescent yellow shirts and took their positions to meet and greet the guests and make their day one to remember.
