Evelyn E. Hitt
Evelyn E. Hitt, 94, of Hebron died Saturday, June 26, at the Newark Healthcare Centre.
She was born July 29, 1915, in Hebron to the late Oscar and Alice (Good) Hitt.
Evelyn worked at Curtis Wright during World War II and for many years at John J. Carroll Department store before it became Uhlmans where she later retired. She was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church and a former member of the Hebron Historical Society.
She is survived by her nephew, Tom (Diana) Kuninger; niece, Judy (Allen) Francis; great-nephew, Michael (Sarah) Slebodnik; great-niece, Tammy Johnson; and many great-greatnephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Bob Kuninger.
Services were held June 29 at Hebron Cemetery, Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s memory to Hospice of Central Ohio.
