Thomas P. Cooper
Thomas P. Cooper, 88, of Thornville passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Pickering House in Lancaster.
Thomas was born on February 6, 1922 in Perry County to the late Bert and Ocie (Starkey) Cooper. He was a member of the Thornville United Methodist Church, a 1941 graduate of Thornville High School, a World War II veteran, member of the Thornville Masonic Lodge, Thornville Eastern Stars, past president of the Buckeye Lake Eagles, and a member of the Perry County Farm Bureau.
Thomas is survived by his wife, M. Kathleen Cooper; children, Phil (Kathy) Cooper, Connie Cooper-Kreager, Mark (Leslie) Cooper and Gary (Trenda) Cooper; sisters, Mildred Ryan and Elizabeth (Luther) Priest; grandchildren, Heather, Logan, Allen, Karissa, Katherine, Sierra and Sara; three great grandchildren; special friends, Ron (Sally) Combs and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on June 13, 2010, at the Boring Sheridan Funeral Home in Thornville, with Pastor Gerri Lampton officiating. Burial was at the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.
A Masonic Service and Eastern Star Service were held at the end of evening calling hours on Saturday.
