Yacht Club will still have boat show

I write to clarify a statement in The Beacon that has led to some confusion about the 31st Annual Buckeye Lake Yacht Club Anitque and Classic Boat Regatta (BLYC Regatta). The BLYC Regatta is not moving to Millersport. It will be heald August 20-22 at the Yacht Club where it has been for the past 30 years. It will continue to have free admission, free parking and be open to the public.

The past assistance of the Buckeye Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society to the BLYC Regatta is appreciated. The Buckeye Chapter has now started its own show to be held in MIllersport.

The two shows should add to the growing interest in classic boating and draw more visitors to Buckeye Lake. They are both excellent sources of free family entertainment. We at the Yacht Club welcome the new Buckeye Chapter show and wish them well.

We greatly appreciate those classic boar owners, sponsores and the Beacon for their support of both boat shows.

31st Annual BLYC Antique and Classic
Boat Regatta Committee
