Pastor honored to participate in Baccalaureate

Editor:

This past Wednesday evening I had the honor of participating in the Millersport High School 2010 Baccalaureate Service. Four graduates, Alyssa Arnold, David Bruckelmeyer, Ashley Harris, and Alexandria Reasoner, gave powerful, passionate, moving testimonies; it was fantastic to see each of their individual personalities with the love of Christ shining through.

I especially want to thank Pastor Steve Bush for all of his behind-the-scenes work. Despite an extremely busy schedule, he worked until the last minute to make sure that this service went well for these special graduates.

Another huge thank you goes out to Becky Shafer, who printed the programs (after our numerous revisions!) I was also impressed with the great reception put on by Jennifer Gorham and the women of the Millersport Covenant Church and the thoughtful gifts coordinated by Karen Reed and Drenille Keener. We were also blessed to get to hear from guest speaker Pastor Scott Campbell, a MHS graduate (1981). I was honored to get to participate on the Praise Team with Anthony Dupler, Tom Foltz, Leslie Willis, and John Woolard, a fine group of musicians whose love of the Lord shone through their music.

To the graduates: you are a special group of young men and women. May God bless you richly in your endeavors, and remember, good things do come from Millersport!
Brian Vinson, Pastor
