D. Pauline Whittington
D. Pauline Whittington, 89, of Baltimore, died Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Fairfield Medical Center.
She was a retired cook for Liberty Union Schools. She attended the former Beulah United Methodist Church, former member of the Get Together Club, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Parthenia Chapter 124.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (John) Mathias of Baltimore; sons, Kenneth (Patsy) Whittington of Florida, Jeffrey (Pam) Whittington of Pickerington, and Eric (Karyl) Whittington of Baltimore; six grandchildren, Vallie (Donald) Prorok of Baltimore, Tonda (Scott) Sims of Decanter, Alabama, Kimberly Whittington of Florida, Sean Whittington of Pataskala, Jared Whittington and Nick Whittington both of Baltimore; four great grandchildren, Stacie (James) Peck, Bartley (Janice) Sims, Nicole (Pfc Nickolas) Jewell, and Bryan Prorok; three great great granddaughters; one great great grandson; three great great step-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Meyers of Lancaster; brothers, Donald L. (Connie) Hamilton of Florida and Steve R. (Liz) Hamilton of Thornville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Whittington; parents, Merrill and Mable Hamilton; and brother, Edward “Short” Hamilton.
Funeral service was held May 31, 2010, in the Johnson- Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with Rev. Michael Donnelly officiating. Burial followed in Union Evangelical Cemetery.
