Flora J. Yates

Flora J. Yates, 91, of Baltimore, former resident of Archer, Florida, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at her residence.

She was retired from RBM/ Essex Wire Co. with 20 years of service. She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, and needlework.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Stilwell of Baltimore; son, Jerry H. (Sharon) Yates of Englewood, California; seven grandchildren, Charles (Lisa) Stilwell, Tammy Nester, Rick Yates, Lee Yates, Donna Baldwin, Gary Yates, and Tina Yates; nine great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Howard Yates; an infant son; three grandchildren; four brothers, Wilbert, Howard, Claude, and Frank H. Connock; two sisters,

Funeral service was held April 20, 2010, in the Johnson- Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with Rev. Diane Berger of St. Michael’s United Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial gifts may be given to the Baltimore Food Pantry, 1760 W.
