James Edward Whitt

A memorial service, celebrating the life of James Edward Whitt, 55, of Buckeye Lake, who died March 29, 2010, will be held on Saturday, April 17th, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at the Millersport United Methodist Church with Hospice Chaplain Debbie K Timmons as celebrant.

James was born September 28, 1954, in Greenup, Kentucky, the son of the late Elmer Whitt and Ella (Lewis) Whitt of Kentucky.

He was a carpenter for Lowes and the Renew Company for many years. He was a big fan of OSU Buckeye football and loved camping and fishing, especially at Campers Grove near Hopewell, Ohio. He also enjoyed watching movies.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene, and grandson, Jonathon.

He is survived by his loving family: In addition to his mother, his fiancée, Joyce Bowman; sister, Nadine; brother, Darell; his children, Nikki (Pat) Murphy, Jack (Cheyenne) and Steve (Lori); step-daughters, Yavonia Hill, Amanda (Billy) Gainer, Jamie (Mike) Davis, Jamie (Andy) Bowman, and Melanie Riley; grandchildren, Bry, Liz, Kiara, and little Steve; step grandchildren, Zachary, Michael, Bridget, Isaac, Dustin, Brookie, Rodney, Kayle; his special one, his grandson and friend, Corey Bowman whom he loved very much; special friends, Manny Powell, Whiney, John and Sis Tichenor; his friends from Campers Club at Campers Grove; and his beloved dog, Peaches.

James will be loved, missed and in our hearts forever.
