Frances E. Hoskinson
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Frances E. Hoskinson, 96, of Newark, formerly of Brownsville, was held April 5, 2010, in the chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brownsville.
Frances died early Thursday morning, April 1, 2010, following an extended illness. She was born in Newark on August 13, 1913, the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle (Stage) Peterman. She was a lifelong homemaker, and retired from Kline’s Department Store in Newark, where she worked from 1964 until 1978. She loved her grandchildren, loved to cook, and enjoyed her sewing and quilting projects.
In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, William Merrill Hoskinson in 1964; her brother, Carl Peterman; and her sister, Margaret Keenan.
She is survived by her loving family: her son. Gary (Betty) of Newark; her grandsons, Curt (Rhonda) of Glenford and Bill (Brittany) of Westerville; her step-granddaughters, Lory (Jason) Bullock and Marcy (Andy) Zamborsky; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Helen (Mrs. James) Hoskinson of Zanesville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
