Smith is good choice for auditor

Editor:

Licking County is fortunate that Michael Smith wants to become County Auditor. As a previous owner of a local business, Michael understands the importance of meeting needs in an economic and professional manner. And he’s brought that keen entrepreneurial sense to county government, first as Clerk for our County Commissioners and, for the last five years, as County Treasurer.

As Treasurer, Michael has worked tirelessly to make the complicated business of real estate taxation more transparent, understandable, and fair. At his direction, the county has implemented a less expensive and more flexible software solution that provides land owners additional information about tax rates and property values, while allowing local fire districts, schools, and townships almost instantaneous access to data that used to take days to compile. He is abundantly available for questions in person or by telephone. Michael will bring this same focus to the office of county auditor, making him the best choice to succeed the retiring J. Terry Evans with whom he has worked closely and by whom he is endorsed.

Michael is well known and respected throughout the county. He possesses just the right combination of proficiency, passion, and personality that makes him the best choice to serve as the next Licking County Auditor. Please join us and vote Michael Smith for Auditor.
