Funeral service for Russell Ransburgh will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, with Pastor Tom Myers presiding. Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ransburgh, age 80, of Hebron, passed away March 13, 2010, at Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Unit. He was born May 26, 1929, in Franklin County, to his late parents John E. and Elsie (Dyer) Ransburgh.
He was a self-employed farmer and worked for Licking County Transportation Department.
Russell is survived by his sons, Russell Ransburgh, of Bradford, AK, and Ronald Ransburgh, of Millersport; daughters, Robin Mox, of Newark, and Rose Moore, of Caroll; stepdaughters, Jeanne Guthrie, of Colorado, and Mary Bonham, of Newark; brothers, Freddie Ransburgh, of Columbus, Donnie Ransburgh, of Logan, and Clarence Ransburgh, of Columbus; sister, Judy Crawford, of Columbus; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wives, Violet Guthrie-Ransburgh and Dorothy Mae Holler- Ransburgh; one brother; and two sisters.
