Westley Wayne Gardner

Westley Wayne Gardner, 73, of Thornville passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, Newark, Ohio. He was born November 3, 1936, in Albany, Indiana to Lovel and Eva (Bedwell) Gardner.

Westley served in the U.S. Air Force, loved to fish and was a private pilot; he also worked for Englefield Oil.

Westley is survived by his children, Ron (Amy) Gardner, Ray Carpenter, Vicki Carpenter, Steve Carpenter and Paul (Isis) Carpenter; grandchildren, Mason, Maddison, Marcus, Riley, Ethan, Kaly, Nathan, Michael, Eric, Abby, Steven, Corey, Jessica and Jennifer; brother, Charles Gardner; nieces and nephews, Christina (Jeff) Gilbert, Valerie (Brian) Elkins; great nieces and nephew, Jessica, Christopher, Makala, Katlinn, Christina, and Henley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lovel and Eva; brothers, Robert T. and Kenneth M. Gardner; sister, Eileen M. Ballenger.

Services were held on Jan. 29 at Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, Eric Miller officiating.
