Reed story sparks memories
      Editor: I want to thank you for publishing the article on Mr. Jim Reed written by Kim Garee. Kim’s story portrayed Jim Reed as the man I remembered from years ago, except for the gray hair. It was a magnificent way to start the Beacon’s year with a positive message - and not a negative controversy.

Lighten up: Mom traumatizes children
      I made my children very sick the other day. Didn’t mean to. There were tantrums, sweat and tears, fits, shouts and fevers. Hands covered mouths, bodies fell to the floor and cookies were tossed. Whatever did I do to make the little darlings so violently ill? I accidentally let them see me in a state of, well, “underwear.”
