Buckeye Lake

• Dec. 16: A Hebron resident said someone broke into her Hunts Landing Road office and stole office equipment.

• Dec. 17: An officer was dispatched to a verbal dispute at a Highland Street residence. No charges were filed.

• Dec. 17: An officer was dispatched to check on a reported domestic dispute in a vehicle on Ohio 79. The officer tracked the vehicle to a Central Avenue residence where the vehicle’s driver and passenger told the officer they were just “playing,” and there was no violence. They apologized to the officer, who told them their “playing” prompted complaints. No charges were filed.

• Dec. 19: An officer cited a driver for going 46 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Hebron Road.

• Dec. 19: An officer cited a driver for going 51 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• Dec. 19: An officer cited a driver for going 51 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• Dec. 20: An officer stopped a 4th Street man who failed to signal before a turn. The officer suspected the man had been drinking, and the man confessed to quaffing a 12-pack of beer that day. He was charged with OVI, driving under suspension, and failure to signal a turn.

• Dec. 20: Police assisted the Licking County Sheriff’s Office with an alarm drop on Hunts Landing Road.

• Dec. 21: A Walnut Road resident said someone cut power to his home. A likely suspect left footprints leading to and from the victim’s home in the snow.

Hebron

• • Dec. 6: Police assisted Buckeye Lake Police with a custody dispute at a Lakewood Drive apartment.

• Dec. 6: Police responded to an 9-1-1 hang-up call at a Canal Road apartment. A child was playing on the phone.

• Dec. 7: Police on patrol at 1:17 a.m. saw a ladder against a building at Brad’s Recycling. It was right below a security camera. The officer noticed that the latch on the camera housing had been opened. Police took down the ladder and checked the area without contact. Police informed he owner the next morning.

Millersport

• Dec. 16: Police were called to the Lakeland Apartments on a report of an assault. Police took a report and filed an assault charge on a resident.

• Dec. 17: An officer attempted to make a traffic stop on an individual driving without headlights on. The driver ran from his car into his apartment and locked himself in. When officers tried to make contact with the driver, he threatened to release his three pit-bull dogs on officers. The driver had received five citations three months ago from the Fairfield County Dog Warden for not having the dogs licensed and insured. He refused to come out of his apartment for nearly an hour before he surrendered to police. Suspect was charged with driving with no headlights, no driver’s license, failure to reinstate driver’s license, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and aggravated menacing. The vehicle he was driving was impounded as evidence and he was taken to the Fairfield County Jail for processing.

• Dec. 18: An officer and a probation officer went to the Lakeland Apartments on an investigation.
