Phillip T. Kremer

A funeral service for Phillip T. Kremer, age 75, of Hebron, was held November 30, 2009, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Feazel officiating.

Mr. Kremer died November 27,2009, at Newark Healthcare Center. He was born July 5, 1934, in Belmont County to Phillip Thomas and Janet Isabelle

Blackwood) Kremer.

Mr. Kremer retired from the Newark-Heath Air Force Base as an electronic repair technician. A life-long musician with a true passion for his hobby, he was co-founder of the Central Ohio Squeeze Box Society. Mr. Kremer played the accordian for the “Sounds of Music” band, where he was one of the two members. For over forty years he performed from Cincinnati to Cleveland.

A modest and humble man, Mr. Kremer is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice; his children, Bob (Wendy) Kremer of Granville, Mike Kremer of Hebron, Laura (Rob) Covey of Missouri, Joe, Jay, and Carl Kremer of Hebron; grandchildren, Zachary (Sofie) Kremer, Kelley Kremer, Gennifer Covey, and Elizabeth Covey; greatgrandchildren, Jason, Jaxon, Jase and Aurelia; brother, James Kremer of Hebron; half-brothers,


Bill Hoffman of St. Clairsville and John Hoffman of Virginia; half-sister, Martha O’Dell of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Pansy Washek of Sandusky; Phyllis Day of Jacobsburg and Linda Gerren of Hebron; and very special lifelong friends, Tim Taylor of Newark and Tommy Swisher of Columbus.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Jim Kremer, in 1995.
