More support for Myer

Editor:

There have been times in recent years that I have found it difficult to exercise my civic duty and vote on Election Day. Particularly in so-called “off year” elections when there have not been high profile Presidential campaigns. Even though I have always recognized that decisions on local issues are likely to have more near term consequences to everyday life than national issues, it has been just too hard to choose between tweedledum and tweedledee.

But this time is different. Now I, and my neighbors in Thorn Township, have the opportunity to upgrade the Board of Trustees by electing a new candidate that brings intelligence, integrity and knowledge to the Board with a selfless interest in devoting her time and energy in analyzing and deciding upon issues that are of considerable importance to our community.

We now can have a representative that has the ability, patience and desire to devote a reasonable and proper amount of time to the review and study of the issues that will come before her as a Trustee and vote wisely on those issues to the benefit of the community at large and not to that of any special interests. That candidate, of course, is Linda Myer, whom I wholeheartedly endorse. I encourage all Thorn Township voters to go to the polls and vote for Linda. You will be glad you did.
