Baltimore, Liberty Township voters urged to support fire levy

I would like to encourage Baltimore and Liberty Township voters to vote YES for the Basil Joint Fire District’s replacement 3 mill levy on Nov. 3. This vote would replace a levy approved 15 years ago that got the original part-time firefighter program underway.

Since then the fire district has expanded coverage to 24/7/365 at both fire stations in the district. By approving this levy, the fire district will be able to continue the current staffing which provides for better response times and allows current services to continue.

This REPLACEMENT levy would also allow the Stoudertown Road fire station to be updated with several cost saving features and allow the district to purchase fire apparatus that combines two uses into one vehicle, helping improve response times and cut future costs.

Please continue to support the Basil Joint Fire District and vote YES for this REPLACEMENT levy to maintain response time and current services.
