Buckeye Lake

• Sept. 13: A juvenile was reported missing. He was found safe in Zanesville, where he was placed under arrest.

• Sept. 15: A driver was cited for going 49 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Mill Dam Road.

• Sept. 15: A driver was cited for going 54 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• Sept. 15: A Myers Ave. woman reported someone stole $500 cash from her.

• Sept. 16: A driver was cited for going 46 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Ohio 79.

• Sept. 16: A driver was cited for going 49 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Ohio 79.

• Sept. 16: A driver was cited for going 51 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Ohio 79.

• Sept. 16: A driver was cited for going 49 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Ohio 79.

• Sept. 17: A Newark man spun his vehicle’s tires on Union Avenue. An officer saw him do it, pulled him over and found he was driving under suspension and a child passenger was not safety restrained. The driver was charged DUS, spinning tires, and child improperly restrained.

• Sept. 19: A motorist was cited for running a stop sign on Mill Dam Road.

Hebron

• Sept. 7: Police on patrol at 3:12 a.m. noticed two subjects on bikes at Coshocton Grain. When police got closer, they had taken off. Police searched the area and found two juvenile brothers hiding in the weeds. They said they couldn’t sleep so they went for a bike ride. They were taken home where their mother said she would deal with them.

• Sept. 7: A Kelly Drive resident called about a raccoon in his backyard. He wanted it removed. Police chased it into the woods.

• Sept. 7: A Hebron Road trailer part resident said his neighbor’s dog was running loose and acting aggressive toward residents. While on the scene, the dog tried to attack an officer. The animal was shot and wounded. It ran home and was picked up by Animal Control.

• Sept. 7: Police checked out a report of juveniles in the roadway on Canal Road, refusing to let cars pass. No one was there when police arrived.

• Sept. 8: Police assisted Buckeye Lake Police with a traffic stop. Police stoodby while the driver was cited for drinving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

• Sept. 8; Police took a report of criminal damaging at Sunfield Equipment after someone tore down the bathroom dividers in a men’s room.

Millersport

• Sept. 17: Police took a report of an assault on Main Street.

• Sept. 18: Police escorted three students out of the stadium during the Homecoming Football game for attempting to fight. An intoxicated female was also escorted out of the stadium for causing a disturbance. A juvenile was removed from the stadium for underage consumption of alcohol. Charges are pending.

• Spet. 18: Police assisted the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office on North Bank.

Police remind residents to call the dispatch center at 653-5223 if they need an officer. If it is an emerency, call 9-1-1. Calling any other number delays their response.
