August 28 was a special night

There are times when everything seems right with the world and life is good.

Friday, August 28, 2009, was one of those evenings. The new track at Millersport High School was dedicated and named after long time track coach Ken Keener. There are too many people to thank individually for making the event and the track possible, but I would like to especially thank Phantom Fireworks and Hamburg Fire Works for donating the fireworks display. The fireworks display was the final touch of class to a special ceremony.

There were many friends, athletes and alumni at the football game to help in the celebration. The football season got off to a positive start with a win, the track team took a ceremonial lap around the the track and the rain held off until the band was finished.

For a brief moment everything was right in the world and the community was one. When we want to, we can do great things for each other.
