      How many Ohio State Highway Patrol officers does it take to cite an off-duty trooper for doing 147 mph on his motorcycle on I-70 near Buckeye Lake?       Editor: Well to start off we already know you will not print anything unless it puts someone down like Ron Small. But this Peggy Wells is a total pain in the neck. How can you as a newspaper print that kind of bashing? Ron owns his own company and leased his trucks out so what. I would rather see him doing it than some company from out of town.

      Editor: Thank You to everyone who made the 24th annual Tour of Homes another successful event. To host over 750 visitors to 5 homes by pontoon boats takes over 140 volunteers, doing everything they can to make the day an enjoyable experience for all involved.

      Editor: This is an open letter to the merchants and business owners operating in Heath, the New Rome, and speed trap of the East. I normally spend time and money in Heath. This has stopped! I will no longer even pass through that area, let alone spend money there because of the new traffic camera scam.

Crime victim upset with sheriff and prosecutor
      Editor: It's OK to steal in Licking County per the actions of the Licking County Sheriff's Office and the county prosecutor's office. At least that's my take after my recent experience. I had two gas-fired forced air furnaces stolen from a property I own.

'Watchdog' still sniffing around
      Editor: I attended the August 5th Kirkersville Council meeting and received a public records request from the police chief, Mark Bossa. Chief Bossa gave me the impression that he was friendly and accommodating by offering to answer any questions and to help explain some code entries on logsheets.
