Mildred K. Marquart
Mildred K. Marquart, age 97, passed away at her residence in Baltimore, on Saturday July, 25th, 2009.
She was born in Oakthorpe, OH to her parents, Hardy T. and Ida Mae George. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lancaster, the Ladies Aid Society, and helped with the Samaritan Center Adult Daycare. She retired from Crown Zellerbaugh Paper Company in 1967. She had a beautiful smile, and had a loving and generous nature, and could bake and cook like a star chef.
She is survived by her sons, Walter (Betty) Marquart of Rittman, OH, and Kenneth (Favonia) Marquart of Baltimore; grandsons, Mike (Marietta) Marquart of Hudson, OH, Steve (Gina) Marquart of Jefferson, MA, Wade Marquart of Baltimore, Danny (Penny) Marquart of Baltimore, and Ryan (Dana) Marquart of Baltimore; granddaughters, Terri (Kevin) Legan of Blacklick, OH, and Michelle (Mark) Christeon of Medina, OH; 12 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marjorie Marquart of Bluffton, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Levi Marquart; parents, Hardy and Ida George; sister, Rev. Marie Poling; and brothers, Walter, Forest, and Leslie George.
A service will be held at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore on Thursday, July 30, at 1:30 p.m., officiated by Reverend John C. Davidson. Burial will follow the service at the Basil Memorial Cemetery.
