Martin Jacob "Jake" Roshon

Martin Jacob "Jake" Roshon, 83 of Baltimore, entered peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Chillicothe. Jake was born in Baltimore on May 4, 1926, to the late James W. and Maude M Court Roshon.

He was a 1944 graduate of Liberty Union High School. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Baltimore Masonic Lodge # 475 F&AM for 55 years, life member of the Baltimore VFW Post #3761, the Rural Letters Association, State and National. Jake served his country and protected our freedoms as a soldier in the United States Army during WWII.

Jake is survived by two daughters, Lori Roshon and Debra Roshon, both of Baltimore; two grandsons, Jason (Ashleigh) Roshon and Brock Roshon of Baltimore; one great-grandson, Connor Roshon; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Marie Roshon; five brothers; and six sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, corner of High and Market Street, Baltimore, with Pastor Jill Dunlap officiating. Friends may visit from 5:30 p.m. until time of the service at the church. The Baltimore Masonic Lodge will conduct a service starting at 6:50 p.m. A caring cremation has taken place with private burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore. is handling the arrangements.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Basil Joint Firefighters Association, 410 Washington Street, Baltimore, Ohio 43105 or the Trinity United Church of Christ, 105 North High Street, Baltimore, Ohio 43105 in Jake's name.
