Another Letter: Thanks to everyone who made the Boat Parade a success
Thank you to all who participated in this year's Annual Boat Parade.
Parade chair Don Carley did an outstanding job of organizing this year's event and all went smoothly as a result of his efforts [even the weather cooperated].
Special thanks to the Buckeye Lake VFW Post 1388 Color Guard for raising the flag prior to the parade as well as the musical talents of Howard Everitt who played our National Anthem.
Once again, the Millersport Fire Department supplied the lead boat and kept the parade moving at a respectable pace.
Grand Marshall Jack Gorham, had a great time waving to old friends [as well as some young ones] along the parade route.
Many of the boats were blasting their radios with music from the Big Band Era and folks along the shoreline were dancing and moving to the beat.
We hope everyone enjoyed the parade and look forward to another great event next year.
