Charles Albert Kline, Sr.

Charles Albert Kline, Sr., 82, of Buckeye Lake, passed away at his residence surrounded by family on Friday, June 19, 2009.

Charles was born in Fullerton, MD, on May 18, 1927 to the late Charles E. and Leona Strehlen Kline. Charles was a member of the Millersport Lions Club, Pin Chairman, and the F.O.E. Aries 2801. He was a retired self employed truck driver. Charles served his country and protected our freedom as a soldier in the United States Army during WWII.

Charles is survived by a son, Charlie A. (Jody) Kline, Jr. of Hebron; a daughter, Alice (Bud) Graham of Hebron; grandchildren, Trevor and Jared Kline of Hebron, and Jennifer and Jon Graham of Columbus; brothers, Eddie (Jeanie) Kline, Frank (Dottie) Kline, and John Kline all of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Katherine (Butch) Hauer of Stevensville, MD, Leona (James) Shannon of Baltimore, MD, Theresa (Dencil) Payton of Baltimore, MD, and Dorothy (Donald) Carpenter of Baltimore, MD; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Barry Charles Kline; brother, Lawrence Kline; and sister, Marie Brungard.

A memorial service for Charles was held June 24, 2009, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with Pastor Dick Burgie officiating. A caring cremation will take place. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Baltimore, MD will take place at a future date. The Millersport Lions Club held a memorial tribute service.
