Margaret Palmer McCullough

A funeral service celebrating the life of Margaret Palmer Mc- Cullough, 77, formerly of Baltimore, was held June 16, 2009, in the Millersport United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Vinson as celebrant. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore.

Margaret died Thursday morning June 11, 2009, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Roger Hurley, with her family at her side.

She was born in Fairmont, West Virginia, on September 29, 1931, the daughter of the late James E. and Ruby M. (Murphy) Iser. She was employed for 18 years at the Golden Manor Nursing home, and also worked for many years at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, both in Baltimore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Harold B. Palmer in 2001, and John E. McCullough in 2009; her son, Robert Palmer; and her sister, Helen Lutz; and brothers, Johnny, Lathy, Kenneth and Jim Iser.

She is survived by her loving family, her children, Harold B. (Sharon) Palmer Jr. of Florida, James (Edie) Palmer of Coshocton, Sharon (Roger) Hurley of Pleasantville; three step-children; two sisters, Lucy Milliser and Dorothy (Bob) Henderson; grandchildren, Heather (Raymond) Miller, Nedra Hurley, R.J. Hurley, Gary Palmer, Samantha Palmer; six step-grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
