COTC's CollegeASPIRE still enrolling high school students

NEWARK— Central Ohio Technical College will open its doors to the youth of central Ohio again this summer with the return of its popular CollegeASPIRE program.

A limited number of spaces are still available for students ages 15 - 18. CollegeASPIRE will be held Monday through Friday, June 15 - 19, 1 - 5 p.m., at all four COTC campuses - Newark, Coshocton, Knox, and Pataskala. With workshops filling quickly, applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The program is offered free of charge. Apply online at www.cotc.edu. CollegeASPIRE is a series of hands-on workshops offering students a taste of higher education through engaging technology based activities presented in a college-like setting. Workshops are taught by college faculty and will be offered in digital photography, drafting and design, robotics, digital media design, crime scene investigation, culinary arts, and emergency medical preparedness.

CollegeASPIRE was created to encourage all central Ohio students to pursue a college education, regardless of their circumstances, and to help both students and families realize that college is possible and accessible.

Central Ohio Technical College is a two-year college dedicated to providing high quality, accessible programs of technical education in response to current and emerging employment needs, as well as encouraging the professional development of students, staff, faculty, and administrators to assist them in achieving their maximum potential. COTC operates campus locations in Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala.
