Dawes Arboretum - Ohio 13, three miles north of I-70.

Night Hike- Friday May 15, 8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Free, meet at the Visitors Center Deck. Experience The Arboretum at night! Kids and adults are welcome to attend the hike through collections, woodlands and trails on one of our most popular programs.

Story Trail Grand Opening- Saturday May 16, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Free, meet at the Azalea Glen. StoryTrail is an innovative program combining outdoor exercise and a favorite children's story where visitors walk along, reading a book and enjoying suggested activities. Toledo native Denise Fleming's "In the Tall, Tall Grass" is featured. This opening will have creatures from the story for hands-on investigation. Staff will read Fleming's books and conduct craft sessions. The Licking County Library has joined The Arboretum in presenting StoryTrail.

Public Plant Sale & Auction - Saturday May 16, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Horticulture Complex. It's time to get to The Arboretum to see what gems we pull out of the nursery to offer for sale. Many items are rare trees and shrubs you have seen in our collections but would have difficulty locating in garden centers and nurseries. Two silent auctions will be featured. Horticulturists will be on hand to answer your questions and offer advice. The grounds are open from dawn to dusk. Pancake Breakfast - Thurston. The Thurston-Walnut Township Fire Department holds its monthly pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 16 at the Thurston firehouse, 8474 High Street. Suggested donations are $5 for adults and $3 for children. The menu is pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits, OJ, coffee, tea and milk. Firefighters will be available to answer questions and will be selling T-shirts and reflective address signs.

Kelly-Miller Circus - Buckeye Lake. The circus returns to Buckeye Lake on Thursday, May 21. Showtimes are 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The big top is set up behind Albanese's IGA. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Tickets at the gate and $14 and $7 respectively. Tickets are available at Albanese's IGA, Park Nation Bank in Hebron, National City Bank in Buckeye Lake and Commodore Bank in Millersport. The circus is sponsored by the Buckeye Lake Fire Fighters Association.

Health Fair and Blood Drive - Hebron. Come out Monday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hebron Municipal Complex, 934 W. Main St., for a free health fair. Free screening for cholesterol, spinal problems, blood pressure and blood sugar plus senior safety tips and health and wellness information. Sponsored by the Hebron Business Association.

Antiques and Gardening at Bryn Du - Granville, Bryn Du Mansion, Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. This is the Antique event that only the Bryn Du Mansion could bring to Granville and Central Ohio. Dealers from throughout the nation will bring beautiful one of a kind antiques to the show. More information on www.bryndu.com

• Outdoor Adventures - Infirmary Mound Park, Granville. Outdoor family fun awaits in this inaugural event. on Saturday, May 16. A 32 foot rock climbing wall, trap shooting, fishing, archery, horse back riding and more await for participants! Vendors will be on hand to sell their wares, promoting their services and more. Appliance and Tire Recycling Day - Newark. Want to get rid of old appliances or worn out tires? Take them out to the Licking County Highway Garage (775 E. Main St., Newark) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16. Appliances are $5 each if they contain freon and $3 each for all others. Passenger and light truck tires are $2 each, plus $1 if on rim. Hookahville XXXI - Pataskala. May 23-24, Hookahville XXXI is only days away! The Frontier Ranch presents "Hookahville XXXI", a three-day music and camping event featuring ekoostik hookah, a limited number of $65 tickets are on sale right now, when they are gone tickets will be $80 (at the gate as well). Each Hookahville ticket includes music, camping and parking from Saturday at 8 AM through Monday at noon. Children 12 and under are admitted to the festival free with a paid adult.
