Lois A Wilson

A funeral service celebrating the life of Lois A Wilson, 78, of Buckeye Lake, will be held Friday, March 20, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Tom Myers as celebrant. Burial will follow at Licking Cemetery, Hebron.

Lois died early Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at home with her loving family by her side following an extended illness. She was born April 8, 1930 in Sciotoville, the daughter of the late Thomas D. and Alice L. (Howell) McElroy.

Lois worked for many years as a bank teller at National City Bank in Buckeye Lake, and was an active member of the Buckeye Lake community, where she belonged to the First Community Church, the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club, Buckeye Lake Youth Association and the Hebron Jr. C.C.L.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Wilson in 1992; her brother, Harold D. McElroy; and her sister, Phyllis Bush.

She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Mary Ann Fenneman of Buckeye Lake; son, Michael Wilson, of Buckeye Lake; grandson, Timothy (Misti) Fenneman of Heath; and brother, Stewart (Judy) McElroy of Woodstock, GA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main St in Kirkersville, where an on-line guest register and video tribute is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Central Ohio, 2669 Cherry Valley Rd, Newark, Ohio 43056, or the Stephanie Speilman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, C/O James Cancer Hospital, 410 W 10th Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43210. A special thanks is given to Tanya and Kristin of Hospice for their loving and considerate care, andto all the Hospice staff for their loving support of Lois during her illness.
