Norma Jean Dixon

A memorial service for Norma Jean Dixon, age 75, of Thornville, will be held at a later date.

Ms. Dixon died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Autumn at the Lake Healthcare Center. She was born March 29, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph R. and Clara Helen (Bard) Dixon.

Ms. Dixon was employed at the Ohio Youth Commission and Franklin County Children's Services. She was an avid Ohio State fan and a member of the Buckeye Side Liners. She was a long-time friend of the Buckeye Lake Museum who is the beneficiary of her estate.

Surviving are cousins, Deidra Thomas, Janelle Harrigil and Vick Bantista, all of Georgia; stepmother, Lois Dixon of Dublin; friends, Pam Rickard of Columbus, John Koch of Lancaster, Annie Cupp of Columbus, Sally Aitenburg of Columbus and J-me Bragg-Bogden of Buckeye Lake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life-long

partner, Barbara Virginia "Babs" Winkler.

The Heath Chapel of Henderson Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath, is assisting the family with arrangements.
