Low bidder on track to get water contract
      BUCKEYE LAKE - There's nothing like paperwork. Monday night, Buckeye Lake Village Council took several more steps toward preparing for construction of a village-wide public water distribution system and a water tower. Actual construction should begin late spring, but there are numerous legal and "housekeeping" issues that need to be done before work can begin.

Parking ban approved
      MILLERSPORT - Council members, reluctantly but unanimously, approved an ordinance Tuesday night banning parking on both sides of Lancaster Street (Ohio 204) from Mill to Main streets. "I'm sure there are going to be some complaints, but it is a hazard," Council President Dave Levacy said..

Cold killed fish
      HEBRON - Don't panic! The collection of dead fish around Buckeye Lake is nothing sinister or even unusual, said Hebron Fish Hatchery Supervisor Patrick Howard. He said most of the dead fish littering the Buckeye Lake shoreline are shad that didn't survive the winter.

Cap'n Woody's to open Saturday
      COLUMBUS - Joseph P. Marasco, co-owner of Capt'n Woody's Pub & Grub, will change his plea to guilty March 23. A federal grand jury indicted Marasco, 42 of Pataskala, and co-owner Robert Fusner, 33 of Grove City, July 16, alleging that they conspired to traffic in illegal drugs and launder the proceeds of the crime, according to a US Department of Justice news release.

Walk-in orders are taken on Mondays from 4:00 p.m to 5:30 p.m. Food orders are picked up at the Waters Edge Community Center on the third Saturday of the month from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m.
