      THORNPORT - Perry County Commissioner Ed Keister had his first meeting with the Honey Creek Homeowners Association Tuesday night since taking office two months ago. Keister read responses to questions about the new sewer system constructed to serve Honey Creek Road residents and those who live on Buckeye Lake's southern shore.

North Shore ramp to be closed to all vehicles
      BUCKEYE LAKE - Improvements to the North Shore Boat Ramp at Buckeye Lake State Park will close the entire area to vehicular traffic beginning Monday, March 2. The closure will last until mid to late April. Boaters and park visitors are encouraged to use the Lieb's Island Boat Ramp in Millersport during the construction period.

Scout receives Eagle rank Sunday
      MILLERSPORT - Todd A. Kaylor will be honored at Troop 404 Eagle Court of Honor on Sunday, March 1 at the Millersport American Legion. Todd has been in Scouts since first grade and now has worked his way through all the Boy Scout ranks. He has held several leadership positions in Troop 404 and attended National Jamboree in 2006 as a Senior Patrol Leader.

Some boat registrations expire March 1
      COLUMBUS - Registrations for about one-third of Ohio's 411,366 recreational watercraft are set to expire March 1 and must be renewed before those boats are returned to the water, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft.

Patrol discontinuing weather/road hotline
      COLUMBUS - The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be discontinuing its 1-888-2-OHROAD weather/road condition hotline starting March 1 due to the lengthy update process for dispatchers and the lack of use by the public. The discontinuance of this service will also result in cost savings.

Angels Food Ministry pickup now available in Buckeye Lake
      BUCKEYE LAKE - Waters Edge Community Center, 4852 Walnut Road (Ohio 79) is a Host Site for the Angels Food Ministry. Walk-in orders are taken on Mondays from 4:00 p.m to 5:30 p.m. Food orders are picked up at the Waters Edge Community Center on the third Saturday of the month from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m.
