Writers concerned about future of Buckeye Lake Library

Editor:

We are writing about a very scary issue. The library may be closing. We have heard rumors that we only hope are not true.

The Buckeye Lake Library has proved its worth over and over. I go there for internet help and just about everything else. Since I moved here this past summer, I am there almost every other day.

I got to be friends with Ada, Susan, Rachel and Jobie. I was hurt and disappointed when I learned that all but Ada had been let go. They will be missed very much. These girls were friends. They knew your name, my son's name and never failed to get what we wanted. I have to admit that their replacements - Michelle and Debie - are also very good.

This library is just so important to our area. With times the way they are, we don't have cable. We depend on our library for entertainment and my son's and my school work. It is a family place to go. These girls work hard and provide personal help. The summer activities bring my mother and father here from Lancaster.

This family just hopes everyone recognizes how important a library is and that we have one of the best.
