Crader sets Sheridan scoring record

THORNVILLE - Sheridan senior Brian Crader of Thornville recently broke the school's 24- year-old scoring record for boys basketball.

Crader, son of Lee and Melody Crader, scored 53 points in a January 25 Muskingum Valley League makeup game with Morgan High School in McConnelsville. The Generals beat the Raiders 82-51. The senior guard outscored the entire Raider team.

He made 18 of 20 two-point field goal attempts and hit four three-pointers.

The previous record of 42 points was set 24 years ago by Doug Fisher. He is now the varsity girls basketball coach at Sheridan.
