Clarence Wilson Richardson

Funeral service for Clarence Wilson Richardson, 84, of Thornville, was January 10, 2009, at Osborn Funeral Chapel, Millersport.

Richardson went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.

Clarence was born in Russellville, Ala., to the late Edgar and Malvy (Landers) Richardson. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in Okinawa. Clarence was retired from Ford Motor Co. in Brook Park. He worked there for 39 years. An avid fisherman, a singer of bluegrass gospel music, a guitarist and mandolin player, Clarence lived life large. He will be greatly missed by his loving dog, Kobi; his cat, Peeka boo; and all his family.

Clarence is survived by sons, Roger D. Richardson, of Lancaster, Timothy G. Richardson, of Orville, and James Ray Richardson, of Brunswick; daughters, Sharon Cosby and Donna Mae Richardson, both of Thornville, and Kathy G. Romeo, of Eaton; 11 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and sisters, Alice Rea, of Decatur, Ala., Mildred Jeske, of Russellville, Ala., and Adeline Scott, of Belgreen, Ala.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Rose Richardson; infant son, Vernon Wilson; brothers, Hubert, Daniel, Roosevelt, Wiley and Travis Richardson; and sisters, Annie Smith, Ella Hargett, Effie Poss and Maggie Ashley.

The family would like to thank those who cared so faithfully for our father, FairHope Hospice, Visiting Nurses, Fairfield Medical Center, EMS/Fire Department of Walnut Township, and most importantly, Christina Darling.
