Michael B. McKinnon

Michael B. McKinnon, 38, of Thornville, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Grant Medical Center. He was born January 19, 1970, in Lowell, Massachusetts and was the son of Charles L. McKinnon and Eileen (Dawson) McKinnon.

He was a member of Madison Christian Church in Groveport and a 1988 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School. He was employed by the Columbus Division of Police as a property room clerk. Mike was a member of the SEOH USBC. Mike was a passionate man about his life, his family and sports (especially bowling) and enjoyed golfing with his sons. He was a gentle giant with a huge heart and will be sadly missed by all who loved him. He touched so many people throughout his life and his light will shine bright within our hearts.

He is survived by his wife, Missy (Edison) McKinnon; a daughter, Kayla and two sons, Ian and Austin all of the home; his father, Charles McKinnon and mother, Eileen and special family friend, Ralph Divito all of Columbus; a sister, Chrissy (Brian) Morgan of Thornville; four nieces and four nephews; father in-law, Jack (Barbie) Edison of Gahanna and mother-in-law, Judy (Bob) Sage of Thornville. He was also survived by many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services were Monday, December 22, 2008, at the Osborn Funeral Chapel, Millersport. The family suggests contributions be given to the Michael B. McKinnon Memorial Fund c/o any Fifth Third Bank.
