Jennifer Kay (Ward) Matheny

A funeral service celebrating the life of Jennifer Kay (Ward) Matheny, 40, of Millersport, was September 13, 2008, in the chapel of Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Steve Bush officiating. Burial was in Millersport Cemetery.

Jennifer died September 10, 2008, at Pickering House in Lancaster after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 25, 1967, in Columbus, to Karen (Oyer) Ward and the late Howard C. Ward. She was a 1986 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and was employed at Petland for many years. She was a lover of animals, loved riding horses, camping and living near the water. She also loved shopping, especially for shoes.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Gary, whom she married Sept. 15, 1999; her daughter, Heather (Chad) Minney, of Chillicothe; stepdaughter, Lisa Matheny and her fiancé, Jason Muhme, of Blacklick; grandmother, Betty Oyer, of Grove City; motherin law, Dorothy Matheny, of Buckeye Lake; brother, Jeffery (Pam) Ward, of Stoutsville; brothers-in-law, Ron Matheny and Jeff (Lisa) Matheny; close friends, Doug and Shelley Harkins, Sandy Eagleson and Jan Lucas; and her beloved dogs, Izzy, Cisco and Cujo.
