Gerald E. Fruth

Gerald E. Fruth, 84, of Buckeye Lake, passed away November 22, 2008, at Licking Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 15, 1924, in Fostoria.

Jerry served on PT boats in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a water plant operator from the city of Westerville in 1984. He was a long-time member of the Blendon Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret (Kaiser); three sons, Larry (Jane), of Newark, Jim (Laurie), of Henderson, Nev., and Jeff (Debbie), of Westerville; six grandchildren, Darrell (Nina), of Durham, N.C., Brandon, of Henderson, Nev., Leah (Tim) Adkins and Amanda, of Westerville, and Hannah and Julia, of Newark; three greatgrandchildren, Beatrice, Evan and Brooke; and a brother, Robert.

He will be remembered in a small family service. Donations to honor his life should be made to the charity of your choice, if desired.
