Richard C. Congrove

Richard C. Congrove, 76, of Baltimore, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Arthur James Cancer Hospital.

He was a retired carpenter, contractor and a Korean Conflict veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carol L. Congrove; children, Mark A. (Sue Griffin) Congrove of Lancaster, Vickie A. Congrove of Baltimore and Susan E. Hunter of Bremen; two grandsons, Grant R. (Sarah) Martin and Heath W. Martin; brothers, Jack Congrove of Florida, Wayne W. (Jo) Congrove of Baltimore and David A. (Kathy) Congrove of Lancaster; sisters, Joan Weaver, Betty (Gene) Sloan, all of Baltimore, Eldora (Leon) Green of Stephensville, Texas, Linn (Harold) Crutcher of Richland, Mich., and Becky Mc- Gill of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mamie Congrove; sister, Mary Barrett; and son-in-law, Leo Hunter.

Services were November 15, 2008, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with Pastor Sanford Short officiating.

Burial followed in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery.
