Edna Mae Wells
Edna Mae Wells, 82, of Baltimore, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Fairfield Medical Center.
She retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. Plant No. 2 in the accounting department. She was a member of the Baltimore Christ United Methodist Church and the Pleasantville Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy Waid and Jane (Charles) Bates; grandchildren, Chris (Shannon) Waid, Colleen (Devon Ratchford) Nihiser, Cameron Waid, Abby (Chris) Deibel and Erin (Sean) Bennett; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ian and Parker Waid, Ryan Ratchford, Ellyn and Carsten Deibel and Samantha and Haley Bennett; sister, Jeanne (Floyd) Liming; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Kinsell "Kink" Wells, who was her best friend and guardian angel; her first husband, James Culp; an infant daughter, Molly Culp; infant son, William Culp; parents, Henry J. Wears and Marie McMurray; and brother, Charles "Bud" Wears.
Services were November 8, 2008, at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with Pastor Michael Donnally officiating. Burial followed in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster.
Despite her lifelong fight with diabetes and many other obstacles, Edna remained strong and an inspiration to those closest to her.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the Christ United Methodist Church in Edna's memory.
