Hazel C. Cooperrider

A funeral service for Hazel C. Cooperrider, 83, of Columbus, formerly of Glenford, was Oct. 7, 2008, at Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, Thornville, with Jerry Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Glenford.

Hazel passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at home. She was born Dec. 22, 1924, in New Lexington, to the late Isac and Mary Justice.

Hazel was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford. She enjoyed her family and doing cross-stitch and gardening.

Hazel leaves behind her loving family consisting of daughters, Carol Garrett, of Columbus, and Joyce (Paul) Ford, of Pickerington; son, Jim (Rose) Cooperrider, of Hebron; daughter-in-law, Ann Cooperrider, of Thornville; grandchildren, Jason Cooperrider, of Bowling Green, Tim and Jack Cooperrider, of Thornville, David Johnson, of Columbus, Holly Carpenter, of Hanover, Ind., and John and Jim Ford, of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Anna and J.J. Cooperrider, of Thornville, Drew, Brandon and Connor Cooperrider, of Thornville, and Kala, Elijah, Gabriel, Elizabeth and Andrew, of Bowling Green; and special friends, Gary Barnhard and Connie and Charles Reasoner, of Glenford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Cooperrider; sons, Roger and Carl Cooperrider; daughter, Linda (Robert) Wolfe; sister, Elma Foster; and son-inlaw, Michael Garrett.
