Hike the Trail Less Traveled Saturday, October 11, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Are you curious about Arboretum East but have never ventured there? Now is the perfect time to get some exercise and enjoy the fall colors before settling onto the couch to watch football. Take a tour of the East Side trails with an Interpretive Educator. Highlights include an Indian Mound, pond, well-established trees, and of course, the access tunnel, $5/members free, reservation required, meet at the Visitors Center Deck.
Night Hike- Friday, October 17, 7 - 9 p.m. Experience The Arboretum at night! Kids and adults are welcome to attend the hike through collections, woodlands and trails on one of our most popular programs, Free, meet at the Visitors Center Deck.
Walking Tour of the North End- Saturday, October 18, 10 - 11:30 a.m. Explore and enjoy the fall beauty of the original grounds and learn about the Dawes family, events that led to the purchase of the property, the tradition of tree dedications and other historical aspects of The Dawes Arboretum. See and learn the story behind the Dawes Memorial, former oneroom Schoolhouse, Daweswood House, former Blacksmith Shop, Smokehouse and Zand Education Center. Walking distance is about 1.5 miles, $5/$3 members, reservation required, meet at the History Center.

Lake Tours - Buckeye Lake. See historic Buckeye Lake by boat. Take a ride on the Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society's Queen of the Lake II. The 50-passenger boat cruises every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. from May through October, weather permitting. Board at the Buckeye Lake State Park's North Shore Ramp just off Ohio 79 in the Village of Buckeye Lake. Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children. • Oct. 11-12, Harvest Moon Rendezvous - Join the Deathwind Longrifles as they host mountain men from Ohio and beyond during their annual fall event. Watch as these mountain men throw axes, try their hand at a trail shoot or cook over an open fire. Learn how pre-1840's hunters and trappers lived on the frontier and what skills they needed to survive. Free admission.

Community Fall Festival - Millersport. Millersport United Methodist Church is holding its Community Fall Festival from 4 - 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18. Free food includes a chili cookoff, hot dogs and popcorn plus a bake sale. Free activities including childrens games, face painting, pumpkin painting, return of slime time, corn hole and some special guests. Plus free health and safety checks - blood pressure, sugar screenings, smoke house and car seat safety check.
Poker Run, Dock Hop and Pig Roast - Thornport. The Millersport Volunteer Firefighter Association is sponsoring its first Holiday Toy Drive. Everything gets started at the Port Lounge. Registration for the poker run and dock hop starts at 10 a.m. with the driver (captain) at $15 and passengers at $10 each. Vehicles and boats held out at 11 a.m. and return to the Port for a pig roast dinner. 50/50 drawings, door prizes, silent auction and entertainmnet are all part of the fun. Corn Hole Tournament - Millersport. Help the Channel family by participating in the Dennis Channel Corn Hole Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 19 at the Millersport High School football field. Registration begins at noon with play starting at 1 p.m. Entry fee per team is $50, but any donation will be accepted to play.

Find out how you can save money and gas by shopping locally. Free blood pressure checks and drawings to benefit the Millersport Fire Department holiday toy drive.
FBPOA Fall Festival - Fairfield Beach. For all Tri-Beach families, Halloween fun for all ages, hayrides, roasted hot dogs, marshmallows by the campfire, halloween costume contest--trophies awarded in three age groups from newborn to age 14, four categories, Halloween candy, hidden prizes, music, games, and more.
