Vera F. Boring

Vera F. Boring, 82, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, at Fairfield Medical Center.

Vera was born June 11, 1926, in Baltimore to the late Andrew Leroy and Sydna (Keller) Jones.

Vera was a loving wife and a wonderful mother. She was a member of Mills Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping and volunteering her time as an election poll worker.

Vera is survived by her sons, Thomas Carl (Joy) Boring of Illinois, Garry Alan (Mary) Boring of Thurston, John C. Boring of Buckeye Lake, Andrew F. Boring of Lancaster and Craig E. (Tammy) Boring of Lancaster; daughters, Tish (Randy) McKinley of Lancaster, Tina Boring of Lancaster and Tammi D. Boring of Somerset; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two greatgreat grandchildren; and sister, Relna L. Muszynski of Toledo.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Carl Lester Boring; parents; brothers, Pearl L Jones, Clyde L. Jones and Lowell E. Jones; and sisters, Gladys L. Tewksberry and Evelyn E. Howes.

Services were Oct. 2, 2008, at Halteman-Fett-Dyer Funeral Home & Memorials with the Rev. Rita Brown and the Rev. Harold Sturm officiating. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore.
