Ann Louise Shook

A funeral Mass of the Resurrection celebrating the life of Ann Louise Shook, 77, of Thornville, was August 18, 2008, at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lockbourne, with the Rev. Fr. William J. Ferguson officiating.

Ann died late August 14, 2008, at Pickering House, Lancaster, after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 25, 1930, in Columbus to the late Edgar A. and Juliana (Stangle) Stevenson. She was a devoted wife and mother and a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Buckeye Lake, and the Senior Citizens at Buckeye Lake and Hebron.

Ann is survived by her husband, John Shook, whom she married July 22, 1950; children, Toni (Rod) Webb, of Westerville, Theresa Shook, of Reynoldsburg, and Gary (Janice) Shook, of Columbus; grandchildren, Brian, Lori, Megan, Kevin, Kerry, Adam and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Nickolas, Mitchell, Gabriella and Alaina; sisters, Edith Smith and Florence (Ted) Mazza; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Stevenson; and sisters, Harriet Shepard and Dorothy Jones.
