Pearlie Spaulding

Funeral service for Pearlie Spaulding, 65, of Buckeye Lake, formerly of Stonecoal, Wayne County, W.Va., will be at noon Thursday at Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, 108 N. Seventh St., Hebron, with Pastor Will Estep officiating. Carlos Spaulding will conduct "A Celebration of Life." Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown.

Pearlie passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born Aug. 20, 1942, in Wayne County, W.Va., to Chester and Mary Ellen (Salmons) Damron.

She was a volunteer at LEADS Head Start in Buckeye Lake, was a Free Will Baptist, loved her grandbabies and was strong willed, honest and generous. She loved talking on the phone, reading, puzzles and watching her grandchildren play baseball.

She is survived by her children, Lorrene Stone (Bernie Romine), of Buckeye Lake, Connie (John) Lynch, of Thornville, Jeanette Spaulding (Tom Greer), of Rushville, Cathy (Cecil) Booth, of Buckeye Lake, Curtis Spaulding Jr. (Angie Hittle), of Buckeye Lake, and Susan (Tom) Cottrell, of Hebron; grandchildren, T.J., John, Michael, Brandon, Cecil, Jen, Brittany, Kayla, J.D., Tayron, Zachary, Stephen, Kaitlin and Brett; extended family, Jonathan Cozad and family and Richard Booth; sisters, Oretha (Robert) Radcliff, of Buena, N.J., Mildred (James) Farley, of Columbus, Lara (Sherman) Spaulding, of Kermit, W.Va., Ivory Davis, of Jacksontown, and Willis Damron, of Buckeye Lake; and many friends and family too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Delores Damron and Opal Earls.
