Judge Joseph Robert Ralston
Judge Joseph Robert Ralston, 87 of Millersport, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Pickering House.
He was a retired judge with the Fairfield County Municipal Court with 21 years of service. He was a World War II US Coast Guard veteran holding a rank of boatswain's mate first class. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Ohio State Bar Association, Fairfield County Bar Association, Association of Municipal/ County Court Judges of Ohio, Ohio Judicial Conference, Millersport Lions Club, Millersport American Legion Post #637, Baltimore VFW Post #3761, and F. O. E. Aries #2120.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances L. Ralston; children, Charles Ralston of Millersport, Tim (Cathy) Ralston of Virginia, Marcia Vogel of Georgia, Diane (Mike) Spears of Millersport, Nancy Hopkins of Millersport, Roberta Hughes of Georgia, Aleta (Jeff) Burnside of Baltimore, and Theresa Ralston of Texas; grandchildren, Bob, Kyle, Jason, Jessica, Steve, Adam, Katie, Alex, Lindsay, Meredith, Maddie, Aaron, and Daniel; great grandchildren, Kayla, Isaac, Samuel, Henry, and Colin; brothers, Tom Ralston of Millersport, and Charles (Glenna) Ralston of Sandusky, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ralston of Gahanna, and Rita Ralston of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Ralston; two brothers, Walter "Bud" and Richard Ralston; and son-in-law, Rick Hughes. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Buckeye Lake with Father Bill Ferguson Celebrant. Burial to follow in Millersport Cemetery. The Millersport American Legion Post # 637 and Baltimore VFW Post #3761 will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
Friends may visit Friday from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. at the Johnson- Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore.

Joseph Lawrence Rogers Joseph Lawrence Rogers, 72, passed away at his residence Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
Joseph was born in Mason County, W.Va., on Sept. 9, 1935, to the late Clyde L. and Leona J. Shinn Rogers.
He was a paper worker and retired from Cardinal Container in Grove City.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Lorena Stover Rogers; sons, David (Pamela) Rogers of Illinois and Joseph Eric Rogers of Baltimore; brothers, Wayne (Alberta) Rogers of Logan and Russell (Sharon) Rogers of Lancaster; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Hilliard of Baltimore, Brandon Rogers of Illinois, Kayla Rogers of Illinois, and Joseph Rogers of Pickerington; greatgrandchildren, Alyssa and John Hilliard of Baltimore; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Rogers.
A graveside service was conducted July 25, 2008, at The Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster with Pastor Tom Gill officiating.
Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, was been entrusted to care for the Rogers family.
