Thomas F. Harlan

Services for Thomas F. Harlan, 82, of Thornville, were June 28, 2008, at South Shore Ministries, Thornville, with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating. Burial was in Somerset Cemetery.

He died at 3:02 p.m. June 25, 2008, at his residence after a brief illness.

Tommy was born July 6, 1925, in Somerset, the son of the late Ray and Alta Brehm Harlan.

He attended South Shore Ministries and was a member of the Thornville Lions Club. Tommy was very well-known as your local NAPA Jobber for 30 years.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, JoEllen Harlan, of Thornville; four children, Kathy (Gene) Launder, Wes (Laureen) Harlan, Phillip (Cissy Marsh) Harlan and Julie Harlan, all of Thornville; nine grandchildren, Matt (Lynsi) Shaeffer, Lacey (Nate) Mack, Lukas Harlan, Kody, Andrew and Nicholaus Metzger, Dee Dee Watson, Jack Patterson and Jammie (Bobby) Lane; and four great-grandchildren, Addison Shaeffer, Kylee Patterson, and Nick and Noah Lane.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Harlan, and a sister, Kathleen Moats.
