Buckeye Lake

• April 26: A Walnut Road man's mother reported he'd been missing for two weeks. There is still no word on his location.

• April 30: A Walnut Road man claimed a Newark woman slapped him at Scooter's Bar. She acknowledged slapping him, but claimed he head-butted her first.

• May 1: There was an alarm drop at Scooter's Bar. The owner was informed.

• May 2: A Thornville man was accused of pulling a knife on a woman in a Buckeye Lake parking lot. The man possessed a knife, but the woman decided not to press assault charges. Still, the man was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

• May 3: A Park Street man reported he was in a traffic accident with a Thornville man. At first, they just exchanged information, but the Park Street man figured he should have a police report. The Thornville man acknowledged being in the accident and was cited for failure to yield.

• May 3: An officer busted fivepeople drinking underage at a party on Anchors Way.

• May 3: A Bayview Street woman's neighbor saw two people trying to steal the wheels from the Bayview Street woman's car. The neighbor chased the thieves. One wheel was recovered, as was a thief's shoe, which fell off during the chase.

• May 4: A man called the police station, claiming he stole some items. He said now he felt bad and would return the items from where he stole them in two minutes. Police arrived at the scene. A person at the scene legitimately had no proof of the theft or even knew the theft ever occurred.

• May 4: A Highland Avenue man reported his grandson's bicycle as stolen.

Thornville

• April 9: Police took a report about an attempted burglary from a Lakeview Drive resident who reported that a rear window had been tampered with.

• April 10: Police investigated a hit and run accident involving a pay phone at Coops Corner. Statements provided to police indicate the driver was drunk.

• April 11: A driver was cited for failing to have a valid operator's license.

• April 11: A driver was cited for failing to display registration plates.

• April 11: A motorist was cited for expired license plates.

• April 11: Police cited a motorist for travelling 52 mph in a residential area on South Church Street.

• April 12: Police cited a motorist for travelling 16 mph over the speed limit.

• April 14: Police took a report on an attempted theft.

• April 15: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 12 mph in a residential area.

• April 15: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 13 mph in a residential area.

• April 15: Police cited a driver for pulling a trailer with no registration. The driver was also warned for excessive speed.

• April 15: A driver was cited for a traffic signal violation downtown.

• April 15: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 15 mph.

• April 16: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 17 mph.

• April 17: Police assisted the Perry County Sheriff's Office with a fight in Thornport. When police arrived all three men were bloodied and intoxicated. Two were charged.

• April 17: Police took a report after tires on a pickup truck in Foster Manor were slashed.

• April 18: A driver was cited for travelling 55 mph in a residential area on South Main Street.

• April 18: A driver was charged with the use of fictitious license plates.
