Hershel L. George
Hershel L. George, 62, of Baltimore went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at his residence.
He was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam and a member of the Millersport American Legion Post 637.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy A. George; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Kevin Keating of Baltimore; stepmother, Hester George of Wilkesville; sisters, Carolyn Yeauger of Gallipolis and Mildred Farmer of Pomeroy; brother, Jim (Tammy) George of Wilkesville; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Karen) Legg of Baltimore and Larry Legg of Baltimore; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends, including Ears, Spotty and Wilma.
He was preceded in death by parents, Clinton and Cora George; and mother-in-law and father-inlaw, Boyd and Annie Legg.
Services were April 29, 2008, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with the Rev. Michael Donnally, the Rev. Ben Foulk and Mr. Garland Snider officiating.
Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, where the Millersport American Legion will conduct military services.
