Marilyn Ann Schilling- Brewer

A Mass of Christian burial for Marilyn Ann Schilling-Brewer, 80, of Hebron, was April 9, 2008, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Buckeye Lake, with the Rev. Frank Meagher officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Marilyn was born Aug. 3, 1927, in Columbus to the late Katherine (Guerling) and Henry Siefert. She passed away April 6, 2008, at Licking Memorial Hospital "to be where she always longed to be, with Jesus and Mary."

A graduate of Rosary High School in Columbus, Marilyn was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmelites, awarded Woman of the Year by her church, and also served as a Eucharistic minister. She was very active in the church, loved to spend time in her garden and share the fruits of her labor with family and friends. Above all, Marilyn was a devoted mother and grandmother and wished to be remembered with smiles instead of tears.

Survivors include her loving husband, Harold Brewer, of Hebron, whom she married Aug. 3, 1997; her children, Steve (Connie) Schilling, Dan Schilling, of Millersport, Karen (Brian) Joseph, Mike (Bobbie) Schilling, Greg (Terri) Schilling, Robert Schilling, of Columbus, Jeff (Rachel) Schilling, of Buckeye Lake, Teresa (John) Hill, of Lima, Sheryl (Terry) Scott, of Mount Vernon, Cindy (Carl) Keplar, of Newark, Billy (Charlotte) Brewer, of Grove City, and Bob (Dody) Brewer, of Delaware; 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Siefert; and son, William Schilling.

In lieu of flowers, Marilyn's wish was for memorial contributions to be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Buckeye Lake. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
