Lakewood thanks voters for levy support
      HEBRON - School board members and administrators expressed gratitude to Lakewood voters at a March 12 business meeting for approving the renewal of an emergency operating levy that makes up more than $2 million of Lakewood's annual budget.

Water contract with Millersport should be signed next week

      BUCKEYE LAKE- A signed contract is still at least a week away, but Buckeye Lake Village Council members are looking for things they can begin doing immediately after signing. Council members anticipate signing a contract to purchase bulk water from the Village of Millersport March 24.

Report from Council: Village clean up day set for April 9-12
      There will be a spring cleanup in the village on April 9-12 from 8:00 AM till 6:00 pm for residents of Buckeye Lake only. There will be dumpsters behind the village hall in the street department compound. Since we have and abundance of tires lying around the village, this will be a good chance to get rid of them. There will be a small charge for the tires.

      COLUMBUS - Recreational boaters in central Ohio can benefit from free watercraft safety inspections offered in cooperation with local Gander Mountain stores and Ohio State Parks. The safety inspections are aimed at increasing boating safety awareness at a time when boaters and anglers are preparing to put their boats on the water for the first time this year.

Eagle sewer help won't fly
      HEBRON- Helping the Buckeye Lake Eagles pay part of the cost to connect to the Buckeye Lake Sewer District system isn't going to happen. "All efforts to help the Eagles have failed," said Union Township Trustee Jack Justice Monday night.

Basil Fire District considering EMS billing
      BALTIMORE - The Basil Joint Fire District, serving the Village of Baltimore and Liberty Township, is considering a revenue recovery program for EMS transports. Informational sessions for residents were held March 6 and 15 at the firestation in Baltimore.

      MILLERSPORT - Millersport Elementary is now holding Kindergarten Registration for the 2008-2009 school year.
